Commonest Dog Types

Bulldog

Bulldogs are low-energy and are often called lazy.

Bulldogs would rather watch your favorite movie with you on the couch than go for a long run with you.

Rottweiler

The working group of dog types includes Rottweilers. This means that they do best when they have a task or "job.

Even so, rottweilers are loving and loyal dogs, and their protective traits can be tamed with the right training and socialization.

Beagle

Beagles have bright coats and ears that hang down. People usually say that they are friendly, happy, and interested in new things.

They are hounds and are often used as guide dogs at airports to find people on their smell.

Daschund

Dachshunds can have short hair, long hair, or wire hair on their bodies.

Dachshunds with short hair don't need to be brushed very often, but dachshunds with long hair can get stuck if they aren't brushed every day.

German Shorthaired Pointer

Another breed that does well with a job, training, and lots of exercise is the German shorthaired pointer.

One cool thing about this breed is that they are known for being alert.
